3 weeks before the party
Make a list of guests
For a big cocktail party, invite more than 20 percent of the people you plan to invite, as usually only 70 percent to 80 percent of the guests come.
Decide on a suitable cradle party theme
Make, buy, or borrow any decorations or music you may need to match the theme.
Send out invitations.
You can send mail invitations, e-mail, even phone invitations if you are close friends.
Menu planning.
Set of recipes (choose only those that can be prepared in advance, even frozen, just reheat and serve). Make a list in advance of everything that can be done, and make a shopping list. Order with your local bakery or eatery, if needed.
Get a support person
You can hire a professional or friend to help clean before or after the party or clean up drinks or serve appetizers, add buffet foods to generally ease your burden.
2 weeks before the party
Clean any crystal, crockery, and silver utensils you will use
And wash and iron the sheets.
Play up a playlist. Music with a cheerful and optimistic sound and enough to last throughout the party will help the space more exciting.
Go to the market and cook.
Prepare any dish that can be frozen.

What to do 3 days before the cradle party?
Inform the neighbors. Let them know you're having a party if you want a big and noisy party, or lots of parking spaces.
Decorate. Candle arrangement, themed decoration, etc.
Check the medicine cabinet. Clean up any personal items you don't want your visitors to see.
Have supplies ready for cleaning. Place a box of salt, Wine Away (red wine stain remover), soft drink, and a few rags in a wicker basket, and store at convenient places in case something goes wrong.
Designate a place for your coat. Make space in your closet and keep hangers available. You can also choose a bed for a jacket (make sure the room is tidy and don't have valuables) or buy a portable clothes rack.
End of shopping. Schedule a detailed cooking schedule for your remaining dishes.
